 Position: Marketing & Operations 
 Manager Reports to: President, EDC 
 Status: Full-Time, Exempt 
 Summary of Responsibilities: 
Under the leadership of the President of the EDC, the Marketing & Operations Manager will be responsible for implementing and executing the EDC’s tactical marketing and communications initiatives, especially as it relates to internal and external communications, organizational websites and social media presence. This position will also be responsible for the management and administration of the office and will act as the executive assistant for the President and CEO. 
 Essential Functions: 
● Carry out the awareness building strategies set forth by the Grow Smarter Strategy to position St. Petersburg as an optimal location for businesses and talent
● Execute all internal and external communications including local and strategic out-of-market media relations
● Develop, update and manage all print and digital EDC collateral including strategic advertisements, investor relations brochures, annual reports, event materials, white papers, etc.
● Oversee organizational branding
● Update and maintain EDC websites including StPeteEDC.com, BecomeStPete.com, and StPeteWorkforce.com
● Coordinate and execute the promotion of the EDC talent attraction initiative, Become St. Pete
● Generate, edit, publish and share periodic content on social media platforms; Monitor all St. Pete EDC and Become St. Pete social media platforms
● Prepare and edit correspondence, reports and presentations, including minutes and activity reports for presentation to the Board of Directors
● Plan and schedule all EDC meetings and events, including, but not limited to, Board meetings, committee meetings, Investor events and the EDC Annual Meeting
● Coordinate all EDC Business Development Missions, conference scheduling, and travel arrangements for the EDC President and CEO and mission participants
● Oversee investor revenue status including monthly billing, follow-ups and bi-monthly reports to EDC President and CEO
● Assist in planning and logistics of all in-market project familiarization tours
● Serve as EDC representative at appropriate community partnership convenings, as needed
● Manage day-to-day operations of the office
● Organize and maintain files and records
● Manage 3rd party vendors to engaged by the organization to enhance capacity
● Other duties as assigned 
 Preferred Qualifications and Competencies: 
● Excellent communication skills
● Great attention to detail
● Ability to think strategically and creatively
● Willingness to lend individual perspective to organizational initiatives
● Ability to communicate proficiently and effectively both written and verbally at all levels of organizations, especially C-Suite executives
● Ability to effectively manage projects and oversee vendor performance
● A high level of professionalism
● Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization, WordPress and Social Media marketing
● Knowledge of Adobe products including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
● Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
● Preferred experience with CRM systems and email marketing systems including Constant Contact
● Bachelor’s degree with a major in marketing, business, or related field 
 Working Conditions: 
● Occasional travel for meetings, community/industry events or to attend seminars
● Some evening and weekend work may be required
